Mobilmet 420 Series products are high-performance multi-purpose cutting oils. They are chlorine-free, non-staining and non-corrosive. They are designed for light to moderate duty cutting operations and they are also suitable as machine tool lubricants and for use in light duty hydraulic systems. They are formulated from high quality base oils and select additives to provide effective machining performance in a wide variety of operations of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The oils are light-colored and transparent so that the work area can be clearly seen at all times. The Mobilmet 420s are formulated to prevent the formation of oil mist in the vicinity of the machine tool.

 

Mobilmet 420 Series fluids are resistant to foaming, even with excess splashing so that superior performance is provided in the machine tool lubrication system. With relatively low pour points and high viscosity indexes, they are not difficult to dispense in cold conditions and provide adequate film strength in hot-running machine tool bearings under load.

Mobilmet™ 760 Series are extra high performance neat cutting oils. They are chlorine-free and are intended for severe cutting operations especially on difficult to machine steels. Mobilmet 760 Series oils are not recommended for use with copper and it's alloys due to its aggressiveness towards these softer yellow metals. In comparison with other leading premium cutting oils, Mobilmet 760 Series oils have demonstrated superior surface finish, extended tool life and control of built-up edge. Their light colour enables the work area to be seen during machining operations. Closer tolerances are consistently achieved. The oils are formulated to prevent the formation of oil mist in the vicinity of the machine tool, thus contributing to a safer and more pleasant working environment.

Mobilcut 100 is a conventional milky soluble oil that readily mixes with different waters to form stable emulsions. Its versatile performance makes it suitable for a wide range of metal cutting and grinding operations for both ferrous and non ferrous materials where economical performance is the main consideration. It offers excellent emulsion stability and long-term corrosion protection for both components and machine tool.

Formulated with leading edge base oils, additives, and emulsifiers, the Mobilcut series of non-chlorinated products provides dependable performance in a wide array of metal removal processes. The products are designed to work in a variety of hard and soft water qualities and offer low foam potential and long-term corrosion protection for machine and components. Low maintenance and inherently stable, Mobilcut products are designed for the modern machine shop where long service life, excellent machining performance and health and environmental concerns are important factors for increased productivity. These products are supplied in concentrated form and require mixing with water at the point of use.

 

Mobilcut 220 is a versatile high performance and long life semi-synthetic metalworking fluid concentrate, suitable for all moderate machining and grinding operations on all ferrous and its alloys. It has unique formula with high performance extreme pressure additives, corrosion inhibitor packages and biocides which prevent bacterial & fungal attack and provides long life as well as stable performance during the application. It works very well in general machining and grinding of cast Iron, grey iron, steel and its alloys where traditional soluble oil may not perform adequately.

 

Application areas:

These oils are suitable for machining nonferrous metals and light machining and free cutting of steels. Trimofin 14 & 15 are light coloured low viscosity oils recommended for machining of all metals except titanium. These oils are specially designed for honing applications. Trimofin 16 & 18 have higher viscosity and superior wettability. Trimofin 18 is acceptable for drawing of non-ferrous rods and tubing as well.

Oiliness type straight cutting oils. Blends of refined mineral oils and additives improve wetting characteristics. These oils are of non-staining type.

The Mobilgrind series of products are non-staining mineral oils intended for conventional and high speed grinding and honing applications across a wide range of materials and operations. The high quality base oils and select additive systems offer clear, low misting and low odor lubrication that help to improve the workplace environment. Mobilgrind products are designed to prevent staining of non ferrous alloys and copper tubing that are often found in grinding oil circulation systems. Mobilgrind oils separate readily from grinding swarf and components which helps to reduce drag off and waste generation. The products are readily filterable to help increase surface finish accuracy. The Mobilgrind series is not formulated with any added zinc, chlorine or other materials that may require special disposal procedures.

The Mobilgrind series can be used in centralized systems or in individual machine tools.

Mobilgrind 13 is intended for light duty honing and super finishing of a wide variety of steels and other alloys. It is clear, has neutral odour and low volatility properties to help improve the working environment. Mobilgrind 13 can also be used as the dielectric fluid in Electro-Discharge Machining (EDM) applications.

  

Mobilgrind 14 is designed for light duty cylindrical and surface grinding of carbon and alloy steels. Formulated with high quality additives and base oils to help reduce misting and maintain viscosity at the point of application, Mobilgrind 14 helps retain accuracy in precision grinding applications. The low viscosity of the product helps fines to settle out quickly from the oil in sedimentation tanks and assists filtration of the oil for re-use in circulation systems

 

Mobilgrind 24 is medium duty product for honing and grinding applications on steels of a varying hardness. It is particularly well suited for rough and finish honing of safety razor blades and for use in large volume circulation systems where continuous filtration is employed.

 

Mobilgrind 26 is a medium duty low viscosity fluid for finish grinding of hardened steels and other carbon alloys. Formulated with highly refined, high viscosity index base oils, Mobilgrind 26 helps ensure consistent viscosity at the point of application allowing good penetration and the efficient removal of fines from the cutting area . It may also be used for light duty machining operations where a low viscosity, low misting product is required.

 

Mobilgrind 36 is a medium/heavy duty product intended for finish grinding of hardened steels. It has excellent wettability to avoid burning and keep grinding wheels clean. Formulated with low viscosity, high quality base oils it is well suited for the finish grinding of precision gears, axles and other applications where a high degree of precision is required.

 

Mobilgrind 37 is intended for medium/heavy duty form grinding applications such as mill and drill flute grinding. It helps to minimize staining of the flutes in these high speed operations. It may also be used as a hydraulic fluid in flute grinding applications where cross contamination of the hydraulic media could affect grinding performance.
